My new working paper is available here: https://osf.io/yzw8b
The paper is an autoethnographic study. Autoethnography is a qualitative method that breaks with the long-held taboo of telling one's own stories for the benefit of authentic insights and has recently gained popularity in the qualitative research community.
My narrative includes a staggering list of events and also documents the inconsistent responses by universities with a seeming lack of interest for the victim perspective.
Remarkably, the two male professors who were natives of their country were removed from their positions.
In contrast, the three female professors of whom one has a second-generation immigrant background, one is a foreigner, and one does research on minority discrimination were so far all able to evade consequences even though their victims have similar backgrounds.
On the basis of the results, a model of victim interactions with Serial Ethical Transgressors (SETs) is suggested that incorporates the Deny Attach Reverse Victim and Offender (DARVO) behavioral pattern known from the criminal literature.
